    Primarily for research and to support attempts to understand the pathogenesis of immune, infectious, allergic, or inflammatory disorders.
  • Spec Collect:
    Gold top (SST), Red top (serum), or Green top (lithium heparin) tube. Mix by inverting tube 5 times.
  • Spec Process:
    Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to a screw-capped plastic transport tube. (Min: 0.3 mL)
  • Spec Store Transport:
    CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
