    Place each specimen in an individually sealed bag.

  • Use:
    This assay is for the qualitative detection of Influenza A and influenza B viral antigens in nasopharyngeal specimens from symptomatic patients. It is intended to aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of influenza A and influenza B viral infections.
  • Note:
    During flu season, PCR testing will be performed to confirm negative or indeterminate immunoassay results. During other times, PCR testing will be performed to confirm positive or indeterminate immunoassay results.
